Hi all,
My wife an I are planning a 4-6 week trip from New England out west and back (with some family/friend stops thrown in).
In putting it together, I needed a tool to keep track of how much time we were actually going to spend on the road and make sure we didn't accidentally plan to drive 37hours in 1 day.
So, I built this excel spreadsheet and thought I would share it here. I couldn't figure out how to automatically calculate drive times based on addresses, so you'll have to do that on google maps or your favorite mapping site.
I hope some of you find this useful. Here's a link to the file. Download it to your drive and plan away...

EDIT TO ADD: I managed to get a version working that uses google maps to get drive times and distances (of course you don't know the route it chooses, but it's a guide). Here is the link to that version:

Note: It uses a macro to do the calculation, so you will have to enable that.
PS, guessing there's a better way to do this. If so, let me know. I'm new to this.
Matt
