Extended Stay

We are looking for RV parks in states where the temp doesn't get over 80 in the summer.
We are looking to stay 2-3 months or longer. Any and all info would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Good luck. I suspect it gets over 80 at times in Alaska. I know for a fact it can get that warm in Maine.

Hard pressed to find a place that never gets over 80 degrees, but I was in the UP of Michigan several times in the heat of summer and it was in the 60's and 70's....
Might search around that area.....

I'm sure it can hit 80 in Custer, SD. You may want to consider The Roost Resort there. Very quiet, small resort with one or two that spend summer months there.

Just an idea.

We wander. Follow good weather. Hope for 75 average. Not always successful. Seldom the same place twice.
Sitting in one place for more than a month is not satisfying for adventuring.
We find frost to be chilling, heat to be hot. And there is always a place that is new and beautiful and kind to our yearnings.
The Journey is Our Destination. Why limit your adventures?
There are not any mosquitoes or biting flies where we go. [emoji16]

That's all fine and good, but the OP said he wants to stay in one place for 2-3 months or longer.

Newfoundland, but the people talk funny. But you will never find any more friendlier and accommodating though.
Happy Glamping.

Along the coast in Oregon or Washington. Lots of choices. The closer you are to the water, the better chance you will have of not getting over 80. Also along the coast north of Seattle towards the Canadian border. Not a ton of good choices there, but a nice space can be had. Also the northern part of the Olympic Peninsula. Some nice resorts along the straight of Juan De Fuca.

Even in these locations, it can get warm. For instance, in the Seattle area yesterday the high temp was about 75 degrees - perfect. The high tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid 90's. The wind switched directions and is now blowing (gently) offshore meaning the influence of the ocean is negated. Will be back to normal after a few days of this. BTW the northern Olympic Peninsula along the water is mostly immune from this event.

The other advantage to those locations is that there are no bugs to speak of. Most nights none at all.

We have travelled a lot over the last few years and the pacific northwest has about the best summers in the lower 48 states for temps and lack of pesky bugs. I am talking in generalities here and realize that there are pockets in probably almost every state where you could say that.
