Fall trip to Maine
We're meeting friends in Bar Harbor on October 15th and will be there for about a week. They will be staying in a hotel and we will be in the coach. I can't find a RV park that won't already be closed for the season by 10/15. We don't mind parking without hook-ups but would like to have some idea of places to park and dump station availability etc. We've never been there so would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. We will be in a 43' Dynasty with Toad. Would like to be able to put out the slides, etc. if possible.

MTDesert narrows Rv Resort, usualy opened till late October, all depend on weather, water front are great but 2 services only, plenty of drive true and lots of room for big rig. Or there's always the Walmart at Elsworth a few miles from Bar Harbor.they welcome RV's

Acadia NP is nice, but your 43' won't fit. Our 36' just fit. Too bad. The sites aren't flat, lots of trees and very narrow. It's hard to get situated for level and slide-outs. No hook-ups, has dump station and fresh water.

Thanks for the replies. The website for MT Desert Narrows says they will close on 10/13. We've never parked at a Wal Mart for more than one night. A week sounds like an imposition. I guess I could ask if nothing else comes up.

Thanks all.
Hooligan, you're right. Narrows Too Camping Resort website says they are open until 10/23. That will work for us. I'll contact them today. Thanks again.
