Family Reuinion Great Smoky Mountain Area

We are planning a family reunion in the Great Smokey Mountains area and looking for suggestions. We have a fifth wheel but most of the other family will need a place to stay and a few might camp. We have been looking at large vacation rentals in the area with the possibility of parking the camper out in the driveway as well as KOAs with cabin rentals. We are not too picky on the location. It could be on the Tennessee side or Carolinas side. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just want to be close to hiking, bike riding, and nature. Suggestions for places to see and go would be appreciated too! Thanks!

Don't know what time of the year you're going but, you might look at River Plantation Resort. It has cabins, pavilions, lazy river and etc. It's close to Wal-Mart in Sevierville.

The River Vista RV Park in Dillard, GA would be a good place for a group. They have RV sites and cabins plus playgrounds, pool, hot tubs, etc. Dillard is a great location for visiting the mountains. Tons of stuff to see and do nearby. It is not as crowded as most spots near the TN/NC line.

We stayed at Riverside RV Park in Sevierville. It was a nice place and also has cabins.

Lots of campgrounds with cabin rentals around Gatlinburg.
