First big trip

The wife and I are heading out for our first long haul RV trip this October. Starting in western Canada and heading east to Ottawa and then Boston. From there south to the Florida boarder and heading back west. We want to be home for Christmas.
I am having a hard time finding rv parks or camp grounds that are open going through Canada. I know when we get south we should not have any problem finding them, but up north, that time of year I don’t know.
Has anyone tried this trip this time of year? If so any help would be great.

Just Google 'Canadian RV Parks Open in Winter and many links come up. Here's one for British Columbia:
