Its Big Fork, I've only been there once but it is beautiful. Next to Flat Head Lake and a short distance to Glacier National Park. You will love it.

Same here, been there once about 15 years ago, much of the area around Flathead lake is very scenic, though there is a rather plain region to the south of there.

Polson

We spent a week at KOA Campground Polson, on south end of Flathead, not sure if this is where, or how much you want to spend. Nice park had a beautiful space looking at Flathead. Adjacent to KOA is Polson Motorcoach Resort if you want to spend more $$$. Jim

I have relatives in Kalispell. I have never been there. Planning a trip west next year about this time. Looking for a place for a 45' with toad for a couple of nights. Always appreciate referrals from someone who has stayed in a good place.

I went to Kalispell , three years ago , to visit a friend having an operation .
We used 93 on the way to Kalispell , from Frenchtown and decided on 28/200/135 to get back to I-90 to travel to the coast , should have just run back down 93.
28 is narrow , no shoulder, do-able ; BUT on the day we traveled , huge groups of cyclists who figured they owned the road.
After the first three groups , I started using the air horn every couple of miles , echo down the valley kept them along the edge of the road instead of three wide.

the trip was open ended, we had things to attend to back at home. We got back on the 11th of august, just in time to miss the heat wave and fires while traveling....

We are heading up that way from Goodyear Arizona area next April. Our plans are Goodyear until 15th April, Lake Havasu, up toward Salt Lake area then work our way maybe east by north direction. Wife is talking about Flathead Lake, she seen it on Lakefront Properties on TV and wants to visit it.
Info on campgrounds will be appreciative
