Do not fear, BWK Resort does have a pool.

It's located way toward the rear of the resort.

I agree with previous two posts. If possible, pick up a SunPass transponder somewhere. They sell at Publix I believe. Certainly be on the Turnpike by Fort Pierce. Just too much congestion further south.

You are correct. Sunshine Key is about one mile past the south end of the bridge. Nothing there but the RV Resort. Knights Key RV may be closed this year because the property was sold for condos.

Well maybe not completely... thinking about it I guess that technically, Sunshine Key is "next door" to Sunset Grill. It's just across 7 mile bridge! so maybe not within walking distance..for some of us anyway.

Hey Steve, did you dine at El Siboney Cuban restaurant, 900 Catherine st. over near the marker buoy in KW? That's excellent food. They have very limited parking, FYI.

No I never have. We'll give it a whirl in Oct. thanks for the heads up.

Caroline's on Duval is good also.

They are if you're pulling anything.

You would take the turnpike extension which ends in Florida City, not the main turnpike which ends somewhere in Miami.

Wow, your right, $40 for 4 axles, from Orlando to Florida City with 4 axles.

I did it with an empty dolly last year and didn't check my bill.

Ok, take I 95 to Ft Peirce and then the Turnpike to Florida City.

Knight's Key will be open for the next winter season. They are taking reservations through March 31 2017. Summer should be no problem and the rates are much lower. The weekends might be a little "loud". For winter Jan & Feb may get booked solid.

We have been through over ten years of sales at KK and none ever panned out for hotels, resorts or condos. This one looks like it might actually work out though.

Watch out if you are drinking mixed drinks at Sunset Grille next door. They are very generous with the pours.

If I remember correctly a single axle trailer doubles the toll, while a double axle trailer triples the cost.
I use the Jupiter exit rather than the Fort Pierce exit. It's very close (1/2 mile or so) to I 95. It's less travel (and tolls) on the turnpike.
