Fryeburg Fair In Maine

The Fryeburg fair is going to be happening in Maine in the beginning of October. They offer camping on site. The wife and I are thinking about going. Not sure if it is worth the ride. Has anyone been and would you recommend it?

Been to the Fair but did not camp. Would I do it again. Damn straight I would.
Lumberjack contest nor day, cast iron skillet toss for women another, riding mower pulls n more. With great n different food, bear, venison n others with a twist.
Lived in Mass then with lake house in Maine. Too far from Nawlins now

The fair is great, but haven't camped there. We stayed at Danforth Bay in Freedom, NH and traveled to the fair.

We went to the fair when visiting friends in Maine a few years ago. Did not camp, as our friends are RVers and have hook-ups at their home we used.

If you go, have some of the delicious fresh cut French fries. And the apple Betty. And the sausage sandwiches or bar-be-que. And enjoy sampling everything they can possibly make from maple sap as well as all sorts of other goodies.

I know it sounds like all we did was eat, but you get something to eat then walk around looking at the demonstrations of antique wood-splitters, ice cream makers, and other machinery. Or stroll through the other exhibits.

We had a great time but the traffic was horrendous. So glad our friends were driving and knew a few back roads we could take to avoid most of it until we got really close.

Smile Fryberg fair

Hi, have done that fair many times. The camping is in open fields and if it rains forget it you will sink! The fair is the greatest and you need two days to see most of it. We have camped there with water and elec but most times we stay over in No.Conway on Rte 16 as they have hookups which we prefer. Most rv parks close right after columbus day. Its only 5 miles to the fair so dont miss it you will love it! paul
