Full hookups near Aspen, CO.

I have a Granddaughter getting married in Maroon in June of this year and have not been able to find a CG with hookups anywhere near Aspen. I have a 33' Motorhome. Everything I have found is basically a parking spot in the woods.

Not much in Aspen. Back up the road at Carbondale is an RV Park with full hookups (Gateway River RV Park).

Carbondale will be the Closest area for Hook Ups - Dirt is jus TOO Expen$ive to have an RV Park. -

Not to feel bad, there is not one in Telluride Either. -

Camera is Required - the Setting is Second to None in the Bells. -

Tripod is also Suggested, and reservations to catch the Bus to the Bells -

You may be better off not even bringing a big rig to Aspen. Parking is very difficult. I'm not sure there is RV parking at the bus terminal?? And you have to take the bus to Maroon -- no private vehicles allowed.

We camped in Carbondale, very nice little campground just outside town. Not sure how far it is from Vail, but it's great camping.

You should tell your grand daughter that she can get married for $25 at a drive through window in Las Vegas by Elvis. It's a whole lot easier all the way around.

To echo RoadEye, and not to be a wet blanket, but we have found to our sorrow that many of the "destination weddings" make it really hard for older relatives to attend -- Aspen is at high elevation, which is rough on folks with cardiopulmonary issues.

It sure is beautiful there, though.

Agreed, destination weddings can be hard on the folks who would like to attend. Now if you're deliberately planning a small wedding and the folks you want can all comfortably make that trip, it's probably a marvelous experience. Best wishes for a nice event.
