Future Florida snowbirds
Wife and I are planning on becoming Florida snowbirds. We are looking for recommendations in central Florida (maybe Orlando, Tampa area) for us to call a winter home. We have a class a motorhome and one dog. Don’t want to break the bank but want something nice and clean. Can anyone help me?

I live in FL and I can pretty much guarantee you from about now until end of Apr, that you will not find any vacancies, especially at State parks. The Snowbirds that perch here in the winter have booked their spots 11 months in advance. It's a lot of work since you have to move every two weeks in the SPs. I wish you luck - I can't even camp in my state during this period....

Depends..... on location, price range, resorts or mom and pop places, and amenities needed. There are sites to be had. Everyone doesn't make reservations.

If you head further south to the Sebring area, rv resorts tend to be less costly. We stayed at the Sunshine RV resort a few years ago and it's a nice place. But, it's a bit of a ride up to Sebring. We're returning to Whisper Creek RV Resort this year because it is a really nice place and only 30 minutes east of Fort Myers. From what I've seen, staying in the Orlando area will be more costly. If you want to take in the Orlando attractions, book a couple of weeks or so in the Orlando area, and then move on south. As mentioned...get your reservations a year in advance.
