Any one with winter stays in Galveston area Rv parks, your input would be appreciated. Looking for a 4-5 winter stay and hoping for a park with pool and club house for activities. Thanks much.

We stayed at the Galveston Island Resort when it was brand new a few years ago and it was very nice. It's now the Galveston Island KOA Holiday. It is about 15 miles outside of Galveston on the south end of the island so traffic is not as busy as in Galveston proper.

This is a new RV park with pools on Bolivar peninsula, a 15 minute ferry ride from Galveston.

We just left Stella Mare today, a nice stay in a park that is handy to the beach, has an on-site pool, and an activities room that hosts card games, kids activities, hobbies and other assorted activities. Not a big park, is well kept and staff are super pleasant. Just on the west edge of Galveston, but not walking distance to town.

At Stella Mare as I type this.
This park you put your trash between 8-10 am and they pick it up.
Pool area, nice clean park. Some of the inner roads are narrow. Every building in this park/area are on poles up off the ground, required by code because of hurricanes. So be prepared to walk stairs to get to restroom, laundry, etc....

Paved roads, sites, benches at each site.
