We are going to Galveston 1st week in Feb. Any information on Marina Bay RV resort or Via Bayou RV resort. Rayford Crossing RV resort has had some good comments, but it looks like it is north of Houston

Thanks for any information

Ray,

Take a look here . . . might provide more to consider.

http://www.galveston.com/rvpark/

We've stayed at the Texas State Park . . . nothing fancy, clean and quiet, right on the Gulf!

Dellanera county park is probably the one to look at, State Park is good, they are both on the Gulf. Also have the Bayou Shores RV park on Heard's Lane and 61st St.

First thing, WELCOME!!!

I see it is your first post. SO welcome to the forum.

Yes Rayfords Crossing is North of Houston. A VERY nice place with a very nice staff. But it is a drive from Rayfords to Galviston.

I am going to "Link" this thread to the South Central area as well. There are several "Texas Boomers" who hang out there that have LOTS of first hand info. about the area. (They are a fun and helpful bunch too! )

Rayford Crossing is about 70 miles north of Galveston but a very nice place.

One thing to remember about staying right on the coast is the constant wind. Some folks really do not expect it and is can be bothersome. Personally, I love a sea breeze....guess I sailed for too many years.

There also is Oasis45.com just off I-45 and also Baycolonyrv.com @ the FM 517-Exit, both are close to Galveston and located close to the Kemah Boardwalk. I would suggest calling either one of these first as they stay pretty full most time. Enjoy your visit, we stay at Baycolony (#27) look us up if ya ever there and we would be more than glad to help with the area.
