Stayed at UP THE CREEK about three years ago. Nice place between two creeks. Full hookup with no bath houses. It is close enough to pigeon forge but out of the traffic. I would stay there again for sure.

We stayed there last Christmas for about 8-9 days. Great little campground. The creek splits on the back of the property and runs on both sides of the property line. We had the spot right at the split and the spot in front of us was at least 30-40 feet away. It had paved patios and very nice fireplaces on the patio. Most of the spots are really large and they have a lot of landscaping to separate the sites. The owner was out and about working around the place every day that we were there.
The spots down the center were the cheaper spots.
If you got to have onsite showers or washers and dryers you would be out of luck. Unless they have added them this year.
it does have a trolley stop and it's only a few minutes away from the main street of Pigeon Forge.

I don't need bath houses, playgrounds, pools, washer/dryers,etc. I have everything I need in my motorhome. I was concerned about how far away it was from the main drag.

We are not the type that does touristy stuff everyday and we enjoy our time sitting around our campsite. I would say that half our time would be split between touristy stuff and sitting around. This is why I am checking into Up the Creek. It has what we look for in COE and state parks with full hookups.

If you're wanting to be on the "main drag" of Pigeon Forge I'll once again highly recommend Pine Mountain RV park.

I would also recommend Anchor Down RV Resort. We stayed there this year for 5 nights. One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at.
If you go I would ask for a site up on the hill; site 1 through site 29. Or one of the back-in sites on level ground, 39 through site 55. These sites offer the best view of the Smokey Mountains and the lake.

Ruebenray, we haven't stayed here but are booked here in May of next year so I can't give you any information other than what I read on the site.

We stayed at Pine Mountain the last time we were there. It is just not for us. There were to many kids running around without supervision. It seemed like the families would come in and tell the kids to run amok while they relaxed. Kids were constantly running back behind our site. One time 3 kids and their mother were putting up a hammock on our site.

Duvall in the Smokies is really nice, but it's probably 10 minutes or so from Pigeon Forge via Dolly Pardon Parkway. The owners are good people and the campground is new and very nice.

Riverside in Sevierville. Pigeon Forge and S'ville - one stops and the other ends. End to end South to North.

We like River Plantation. On maim strip close to everything, large sites. Most of the campgrounds in the area are nice. We just returned only problem was it gets more crowded each year.

Hi, Raymond
Fellow transplanted Cajun here from Townsend TN.
Sent you a PM, but will also post here. There are several nice campgrounds here in Townsend and nearby, away from the madness in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, yet close enough to get there.
Little River Campground is on the Little River (surprise!) - older, but very quiet. And Whispering River Campground is in nearby Walland, also on the Little River.
Give me a shout if you're in the area.
Mickey
