We have reservations in July at Spruce Park on the River, check to see if they have any openings.

North American RV Park. They have good wifi, close to west entrance, and the new section is very spacious for full size rigs.

Since you didn't say which side of Glacier, on the East side, St. Marys KOA is a quiet FHU rv park, The Blackfoot Indian shuttle bus is a great way to see going to the sun highway sights, and they are the only once that have an air-conditioned and heated bus.
The drivers know almost everything about the area, and pick you up at the RV park.

If you only want electric, there are several USFS CG's just inside the East entrance to the park.

Sun Highway isn't open yet. Would like to do some hiking. Is it too early for Glacier? Maybe just keep heading to Alaska?

There are many trails on the lower portion between apgar and avalanche, but there is still a lot of snow on the ground in some areas.
