Even if you've already done Yellowstone, Baker's Hole national forest campground just outside of the town of W. Yellowstone is very pleasant and you can check out the surrounding area rather than Yellowstone. There are other national forest campgrounds on your route. Get a map and check out which national forest you'll be driving through and then use this awesome site for finding campgrounds based on the name of the national forest. It would be useful for all your future travels, as well. We used it a lot for our 40' motorhome. The directions given are great. They have personally visited each one.

You will also be passing by some nice state parks depending on the route you'll be taking. What IS your route from Glacier?

Have a great trip to Alaska!

Just a few of the places I'd look to visit on the drive south - For me Idaho has always just been a drive through state - Has a few Great Ski Resorts - Rivers are Famous - Sawtooth is a Must.

Ended the trip at Lake Jordanelle - as it is an easy drive to the city and is just much more relaxing there.

I would likely revisit the https://www.atomicheritage.org/location/idaho-falls - as my dad did training there for his sub - and We stopped once driving across country with him as a kid.

Just to give you a few Options as you head South,
