I have stayed at campgrounds that said "no motorcycles". It just takes one loud-piped Harley coming home at midnight to wake up the entire place and ruin it for all riders...

I recently ran into a campground where they didn't advertise a breed-specific ban. On the 2nd day there, the owner comes by and tells me that my German Shepherd "can't be here". I went to the office to clarify and ask if I could help update the website and he (the owner) unloaded on me. Basically he said that I wasn't being kicked out, I could leave if I wanted (but I'd have to pay out my reservation), and that the dog could not touch the ground on his property.

Nevermind that my dog requires assistance to walk... :-)

I don't consider him a hater, I just just consider him someone with poor people skills that takes his insurance very seriously.
