Great Information source for New York Adirondack campgrounds

Check out: campadk.com. This is the best website to use for complete information on both DEC and State Park Campgrounds in the greater Adirondack Region.

The Adirondack Park is the largest Park in the United States.....because of restrictions in this "forever wild" region commercial campgrounds are few and far between....however the vast network of State Campgrounds more than fills the bill and at reasonable prices.

The average state park campground features large sites and most often they are lakefront sites. No Hook-up camping is the norm however there are ample drinking water taps throughout each campground located close to sites.
Excellent restrooms and showers at the majority of these campgrounds plus dump stations etc.

The website (campadk.com) features multiple pictures of each site and these are updated from time to time. There is a campground map of each park showing sites, facilities etc, including dates of operation, address and phone numbers for each campground.

If you enjoy camping and fishing in a natural forest setting this site will serve your needs.

Happy Camping!

We love the ADK parks in the past, but now see there is a two pet limit in the parks. we have not talked to anyone how strict they are but we do travel with our three small dogs

UPDATE. David Sweat. com is out of business. But Joyce Mitchell is available to get you a back-door tour of Clinton prison. You too can enjoy the country club lifestyle of "Honor Block"
