Guatemala Camping - best in anywhere!!!!

I tried to post in "CAMPGROUNDS" , but there were only options in USA and Canada? anyway there is really a great camping (campground) down in Guatemala, if you are on your way to Panama or South America or maybe just want a change of pace!

We did the Pan American Highway again, and will do this July again. Upon return northbound we spent a couple of weeks at what we consider the "Best of the best" campgrounds in the world!

LOCATED on the CA-9 Highway (Carr. al Pacifico) at km 34.5 in Amatitlan, Guatemala is camping and waterpark AUTOMARISCOS TURICENTRO. Here is located a campground that puts even the north american parks to shame!

Only 9 full hookup sites, but space for another 30 RV with limited hookups are available. Each space has a patio with table, shelter, overhead fan, and barbeque and a place for hammocks. The spaces are in beautiful grass, with level concrete ramps. The water is ONLY "very warm" due to the natural HOT SPRINGs at the park. There is spring cold water to fill the tanks, at the entrance to the park....no cold water in the park.

Besides camping, Automariscos offers: Great seafood restaurant, Jacuzzi, eucaliptus steam baths, wave pool, olympic swimming pool, 5 other pools, water slides, picnic areas, snack bar, FREE WI-FI TO YOUR SITE, Bus service, close to many tourists areas, including Antigua, Volcan Pacaya, beaches, and more.

FUTHERMORE - Probably the world's best weather, with daytime temp of 75-80 degrees and nights are about 55, no mosquitos, and a humidity of 55. What more could you want.

Some snowbirds become WINTER TEXANS, there are some parks in Mexico where there are WINTER MEXICANS, but here is year round great weather, the summers are much cooler than in Washington state. For years, there also have been WINTER GUATEMALANS.

When you bring your RV into Guatemala you will be given 90 permit, which is renewable another 90 days.
