that is interesting ... what RV parks did you try? The only ones that might be booked are possibly Top Sail Preserve and Gulf Shores State park .. maybe other state parks ... but the better "resorts" I know take reservations this far ahead .... for instance:

Bella Terra, Foley, AL
Destin West, Fort Walton Beach, FL
Ponchartrain Landing in New Orleans
Majestic Oaks, Biloxi, MS

I started in Houston with 3 rejections inc Westlake RV (mail server down so can't bring the others)
I assumed they would all be similar, due to monthly departure unknowns.
I will start sending emails again

All the Quality Resorts in Houston, Westlake, Northlake, Eastlake, FallBrook, etc. won't take reservations prior to 3 months out. I've stayed at Fallbrook, Westlake and northlake - nice RV parks- but they really cater to the long term (3 month +) workers. They do save some spots for the "passing through" or a week or so folks - that is why they won't do reservations earlier than 3 months. So, you just really focused on the one group that doesn't do early reservations! I'm sure they will have openings, though.
