Gulf State Park

Hi All,
Just wanted to know if anyone has stayed at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores Al. during Thanksgiving Week and what the weather was like.TIA

We have stayed there the past two summers very nice park close to everything but far enough to not be in the hussle of things if you dont want to. Havent been in november but call the campground and talk to the people at the desk most are camping there so they could tell you what the weather should be like. Hope this helps.

i live close by. Weather in this area is different every single year. Some years, cold and dry, cold and wet, or cool and sunny. crap shoot.

Agree with above - you can never tell about the weather on the Gulf Coast. Some years great, some cold. But give it a day and it will change!

I was talking to a State Park ranger in a nearby Florida park, (St. Joseph Peninsula), and he said that their campground might be nearly empty the weeks before and after Thanksgiving, but it fills up on the holiday weekend. This really surprised us, but after thinking about it, decided that a camping trip with the family might not be such a bad plan after all. Yes, the weather is a crap shoot, but it's usually not very cold.

I just looked up the average temperatures for Gulf Shores, Alabama - where Gulf State Park is located; and the average high and low temperatures for November 25th are 67 and 47.
