Happy Holiday RV Park, Rapid City SD
Has anyone stayed in the titled RV park in Rapid City SD? We are looking for a nice park for a couple of weeks in Aug, 2017. Their website looks good, but I'd like to hear from those that stayed there. Thanks

Hart Ranch in Rapid City is one of the nicest parks we have stayed.

Don't you have to be a member to stay at Hart Ranch?

We stayed as RPI members but I think they are open to anyone based on availability. I think most of their sites are on long term leases but the sites are rented when the lease holder is not using it.

We looked at Hart Ranch, but we want to hear from those that have stayed at the Happy Holiday Resort.

Vapor, we stayed at the Happy Holiday in Oct, 2012. We were well out of tourist season, and we pay little attention to some amenities. We stayed there for about 4-5 days and had no negative experience. Nice folks, nice park, no difficulties parking. Spots were a little close, but not outrageously. It IS a big tourist area, and I don't begrudge them a little space. We'd stay there again.

We stayed there also in June of 2012. At the time, we had a Class C. No complaints about the park. The only negative I had, was back then we were ATT cell. Only Verizon customers had service there, we would have to drive to the top of plateau in order for our phones to see a tower. I would hope by now, ATT has located more towers for their customers. Right across the road I believe there is a reptile zoo type, which we walked to one day to check out. Several golf courses close by (if you're there in summer, lather up with bug juice). The skeeters are man-sized!
