We'd like to go to the Havasu, AZ annual fireworks show mid Feb this year. We've been to Lake Havasu a number of times, usually stay on the Island, plug in site but would like to dry camp this time. I see there's some BLM land just south of Havasu racetrack where I believe the fireworks are set off. Have no idea how busy it would be, if finding a spot will be tough or it will be good to see the show. Anyone done this recently, well not last year it was cancelled. Sure could use some tips/advise as this is our first time for this show.

Checked the Rodeo Grounds, has been booked for months. While it's been a few years since we stayed at Sam's beach RV resort the price increase from then i was a shock, won't pay those prices. Researched some of the surrounding boondocking possibilities, crowding or even finding a place seems questionable especially in today's environment. That said the best idea i can come up with is find any BLM or similar spot to camp within a reasonable drive to the racetrack and pay to watch the show from there. Not optimum so far seems to be the best idea. Still open to recommendations/tips.
