Headed to Phx in Feb.

We are scheduled to make our longest RV stay in any one place since buying our Winnebago motorhome. If weather allows us to leave Longmont, Colorado in mid-February and return in mid-March, during that time we'll be staying at Desert Shadows RV Park in north Phoenix. We graduated from what is now GCU, have friends down there and visit frequently, but never RVed there before. Desert Shadows was an Internet pick. Sure hope we made a decent choice.

Any thumbs up ...or down?

Stayed there for a few nights. Tolerable but didnt like it. Mostly park models and crappy dog park. We prefer eagle view but it is a bit of a drive to town.

Agree with Jake21. Much prefer Pueblo El Mirage.

If it's the Desert Shadows close to Costco, we had friends that spent time there and they were happy. 3 Couples at different times, but they enjoyed it. Walking distance to Costco and other shopping. 2 of them had MH's without a toad and they rented cars and had no problem keeping them at their sites. We have friends that are in a complex nearby (N19th & Morningside area) so they spent a lot of time with them. Good idea to try staying in your MH for a time before you buy anything there. They do have the nice weather!
Happy New Year.

We have stayed there the last 3 years for a month or more enjoy it very much. They seem very friendly and willing to help and plenty of activitys to do if you wish to . We will be leaving in about two weeks to go back again!

Great! If you're staying into February, maybe Sandy and I will have a chance to meet you there. Thanks.

Thanks!

We appreciate everyone's reply! This is indeed the park next to Costco, west side of I-17, east side of N 29th.

We'll be looking into possible alternative sites for future trips, but it sounds like we're good to go for this time around. We're really looking forward to a new kind of urban adventure.
