We were there in July for one night. Nothing special, no WiFi and phone and quite removed from the Grand Teton attractions. Not all that friendly staff and very dusty. We used the location as staging area to find a site at colter bay.

Nothing special but gets you close to Yellowstone which is why we stay there. Also used when we could not get into coulter bay. Coulter bay is much nicer but the full hook up side costs more. We have senior pass and this did reduce what they charged at the headwaters campground. Be sure to ask what they take for discounts before checking in. Could get you a payback if you can get pass prior to staying there. Good luck.

Enjoy the journey

Our experience there 3 years ago at the end of May was good. The sites are large offering good privacy, full hookups, wooded, clean bathroom, clean laundry area and very accommodating staff. The roads are dirt, but it’s a campground!! There was a truck going around spraying water on the roads. I guess it gets dusty but we never witnessed it. And it never rained while we were there for three nights. It is costly for what it is, but you are paying for location. Cell service and wifi are not all that important to us, so it’s never a priority.

We stayed there and had no complaints. Dirt roads in a campground do not bother us.

We always stay at Gros Ventre. A few electric sites if you're lucky. Big cg with wildlife, close to Jackson and easy to get to most of GTNP. The last time we were there, our kids had given us a half-day tour with a naturalist, pro photographer who was able to get us to some areas we would not have found on our own and enabled us to get some great wildlife and landscape pictures. He was based in Jackson. I don't recall his name right off but I might be able find it if you are interested. We can't hike much but find that with patience we can still get some good photos or just enjoy being out.
