Help for finding a spot in Fayettville GA

My son and his wife are having their first child soon. I cant find a good spot with good reviews in the area. Maybe some of you can help. I ve been thinking about High Fall State park. That is 40 miles away. Anyone know of a secret spot.

Atlanta Southside RV Resort would put you closer.
Keep in mind this is a urban park and has a lot of full time residents.
The staff is very friendly and knows the area well.
My sister stays here yearly over the Christmas holidays and never has had any issue. Unfortunately there are not a lot of campgrounds close to Fayetteville.

We spent a few days around Senoia GA a few months ago. Did the Walking Dead Studio Tours! Ended up staying at Pine Mountain RV Resort because everything closer just looked sketchy. It was a great park. Looks to be about the same drive as High Falls.

There's also FD Roosevelt Park in the same area but it doesn't have full hookups.

X2 on Pine Mountain RV Resort and FDR State Park.

Also near Newnan is Chattahoochee Bend State Park which may be a preferred target.

Further south on I-85 are the West Point Lake COE Parks.

Pickins are a bit slim in and immediately around Fayetteville?????

Been through your situation ourselves and sure like to be real close by for the event!!

Check South Oaks at Collinsworth Rd and I-85. They used to have a few RV FHU sites but was years ago. Maybe still?

Also check Pine Lakes RV on US 29 south of Palmetto. Don't know anything about them but it does register.

Not sure how far away Stone Mountain is from Fayetteville, but that is a really nice park.

High Falls is nice too from what I remember.

Thanks to all who gave great suggestions. My son says Newnan is a great little town. So we will probably be staying in Chattahoochee Bend. We will check this one out this time and check something out next time.
