Help!! Summer camping trip!!

Hello all, I am trying to plan our first summer camping trip. We did a couple of weekends close to home(RI) last year. I am looking for suggestions of places you have gone and loved along the East Coast, Mid US or even Canada. My son would like to fish and my daughter some horse back riding. Your suggestions would be great I am feeling overwhelmed not getting much help at home. Thanks looking forward to a great camping season!!

When our kids went with us, we had a great time going to the Lake George, NY area. We stayed at Alpine Lake campground in Corinth, NY. It is located just north of Saratoga Springs and south of Lake George. I have read that many people seem to enjoy Lake George RV which is right in town. Lot's to do there including fishing, tubing, water park, shops, swimming, etc. I went to Alpine Lake about 3 summers ago with a group of friends that had kids ages 5 -16 and everyone had a great time. Bring bicycles!

I agree that Lake George area is nice. I would also add North Conway NH and Booth Bay and Bar Harbor Maine to the list. I'm sure you will get more suggestions. These were some of my favs.
