Has anyone camped at the Marina campground next to the Colorado river and what is it like as far as amenities and access to get to it ?

Have not camped there but have been there. The lake is currently quite low so you will not be lakeside and iirc never was. It is fairly remote. There is no place close by. There is a little shade at some of the sites or was when I was there like one tree per site. It is or can be very very hot there. The campground and marina had a very little general store but unsure if it is open as the boat ramp has been closed for at least a couple years due to lake level
