Hatteras pretty much dodged the worst of Florence. Some minor flooding, but Rt. 12 came through it unscathed.

Based on what I saw on either the Weather Channel or Fox News this morning, Outer Banks seems to have done OK. I believe they said they planned to allow 'visitors' back on the island starting tomorrow.

We have reservations at Emerald Isle on 9/24 then Myrtle Beach beginning 9/28. Hoping we can still do those.

I live in Conway, and there's some question about 501 flooding in the days to come because of all the run off feeding into the Waccamaw River. They're trying to place a temporary dam of some sort along the roadway to divert the water. Trouble is that diversion is into neighborhoods, which isn't going over very well with residents.

Just called Apache rv park in Myrtle.......the campground is open..........the road coming in from I 95 onto 501 is flooded and there is a detour to get around it. We are not coming in for a couple of weeks yet, so it should be good to go by than......or we might come in from the south 544 to 17. Have to see how the roads south to our destination....

Well, right now a portion of 544 is also flooded. But I would think it'll be fine in a couple of weeks.

Also I95 is closed from about Rocky Mt, NC down to Lumberton. Hopefully that will change in a day or so. I feel for those poor folks in the Carolinas with all that flooding.

We don't think we will have trouble getting to MB for our reservation on Sept. 28 but not sure about roads into Emerald Isle, NC for a reservation on 9/24.
