Husband and wife YouTube Videos

Well it gained popularity with Gone with the Wynns...and now every 2nd video under the RV search option on YouTube is a husband and wife copy cat ....

What do we think?

My opinion only- Some are ok. Most are just awful. What bothers me the most is that I cannot research anything anymore without these horribly taped videos popping up everywhere....arghhhh....please stop the madness!! Lol

Too many wanna-bees on YouTube trying to get your money. We don't even look anymore.

Never have used YouTube for research
Can't stand the amateur videos
Most of the info is incorrect

I prefer using Service Manuals, Vendor Info, exploded views etc.

There are a few exceptions of course but agreed that vast majority these videos are self-promoting junk. Especially irksome are the ones who wrap their RV with advertising for their video channel...can you imagine having one of these rolling billboards set up camp up next to you?

The Motorhome Experiment gives good reviews on destinations. Gone With the Wynnes have been on a boat for quite a while. Technomadia had good advice on solar and stuff, but they also have went to boats. Those are the only ones I watch. Too many wannabees.

I agree there are a lot of bad youtube channels about RVing. One of the best comments I have heard recently when someone commented on a video that they were surprised that the youtubers were able to get 45 seconds of information into a video that was several minutes long.

On a positive note, if anyone has issues with a Workhorse chassis, especially those that are Winnebagos, Kevin Caudill has some very good videos on these motorhomes. No fluff, just good info.

Trent and Allie traveling through Mexico has given me a whole new outlook on Mexico. After watching their channel makes me wonder why Mexicans are wanting to leave such a beautiful country.

Dont like? Dont click

About the only thing different from the old ones and the new ones is the fact that the old ones were there first. Novelty. Now the tube is saturated. But I like to watch. One can learn a lot. Even from the ones with wrapped rvs.

Maybe there are some green with envy. It take many hours to get 15mins.

These tubers do the tube for many different reasons. One would be simply to archive their journey

I watch Moving Forward Adventures on Youtube, because they are one of the few couples doing this that travel in a sub 30 ft coach.

I like to watch The Motorhome Experiment because I enjoy seeing the places they travel and the documentation they provide on these places. What I really enjoy is their sense of humor and they seem to be REAL people in real life, not someone in a docudrama. Others are OK but sometimes seem fake or staged.

I guess it's not for everyone, but neither is daytime soap operas ....

While I can agree there are a ton of these types of videos on YouTube, I can honestly say I have acquired a lot of useful information and insight from a few. I'm not advertising or advocating but I highly recommend Long Long Honeymoon (LoLoHo), Wandering Wagners, and I'm Not Lost, I'm RV'ing. Their videos are well-made, informative, and they offer great reviews of campgrounds and products.

On another note, the folks at Keep Your Daydream (KYD) put out extremely high quality videos that are informative as well as entertaining. Just my 2 cents.

A proliferation of made up drama and E-beggars has soured me on much of the RV content on Youtube. The only ones I follow currently is:
"Kombi Life" Their South America to Alaska ("Hasta Alaska") in a VW bus was a great series and binge watching worthy. Their latest one is around the world in a 73 VW bus. I'm not sure it is going to be as interesting, but Leah still rocks a bikini!

"Glamping Guys" Husband & Husband team of Jason and Todd. Their "campy" videos are always fun especially the previous two years when they had the small motorhome and were transitioning to full time.

Over all,I tend to watch more back road/ off the beaten path related content.
