I-71 Between Cincinnati and Columbus, OH

Looking for an overnighter on I-71 between Cincinnati and Columbus, OH. Ceaser Creek is out because I need a Friday night and they have a two night minimum on the weekends. Thank you for the input.

Lori ( NLOVNIT ) lives in the Columbus area. I'm sure she will give you some ideas for that neck of the woods.

Check out Cedarbrook Campground in Lebanon, OH. We like Caesar Creek, but ran into the same problem as you did with the 2 night minimum one time we were just passing through. Cedarbrook was very accommodating and gave us a long pull-through so we wouldn't have to unhook for 1 night. Lebanon is a little to the west of Caesar Creek.

When are you coming through & do you want to pay for a site or just need a place to catch a quick snooze before moving on? If coming in winter, there are very few CG's open in that area.

Cedarbrook is a nice campground open all year, & I'd recommend that one. Their drive is narrow & would be quite difficult to maneuver if snow covered, but you can call ahead for conditions. You can check out my review of it in the Campgrounds section. Other choices would be Olive Branch Campground (exit 36) & Beechwood Acres (exit 32 - I think). Call ahead first, to see if they're open in winter - they may not be. It's been at least 7 or 8 years since we've been to Olive Branch, but of what I remember, it's a small but neatly kept little campground.

There's a Flying J at Jeffersonville, exit 69. Also, WalMart Supercenters are located in Wilmington, OH (take exit 45) & Washington Courthouse, OH (take exit 65).

Thanks for the responses all. Very helpful. My trip is scheduled for the month of May and we now have reservations at Ceaser Creek for the outbound ride and Olive Branch for the return trip. Again thanks.

just keep in mind, if you are a FMCA member, you can stay on the eastside of Cincinnati (I275)at their office campsite free of charge. they do have hookups provided. they have about 12-15 sites.

Thanks majfrizz. Was aware of FMCA but wanted to be north of town and just a little closer to home for the last days run.
