Question I need HELP!

HELP! I just cancelled one week, March 2nd to March 9th, 2019, at a very expensive RV Resort in Ft. Myers......smack dab in the center of our winter excursion...….and now I can't get into the RV resort I wanted! We're on the waiting list at Riverside RV Resort in Arcadia, Florida.

Are there any great recommendations for a nice RV Resort.....either on the Gulf side or Ocean side.....for a one week stay? We're traveling around to check out locations that we may want to spend a whole month at in the future. We're at Belle' Parc RV Resort in Brooksville, FL the week before, and Compass RV Park in St. Augustine, FL the week after. I know you are all soooooooooooo knowledgeable!! Thank you!!

You have the red tide issue over at the gulf side, I am betting that sites will open up if that is not cleared up by November. We have a waterfront site at San Carlos RV park, you can check there for availability. I go there to fish for 2 weeks at the end of the year but if the tide is dead fish I may cancel.

I have lived in Florida for 18 years.
You are cheating yourself if you only hang out along the coast.

I would highly recommend you check out the natural springs all along the middle of the state. The N Central part of the state is especially rich with the crystal clear, cool blue water. Rarely do we go to the beach anymore, the 72° water is just far too inviting.

Unfortunately, it is out of your way unless you re-route, but Santa Rosa Resort in Navarre is wonderful, and you can get a bayfront site if available.

I do agree that the central part of the state offers great opportunities, but we have only done the state parks, which are long booked up. I actually am holding a reservation at Silver Springs State Park which I am not going to use around that time, but it is for a cabin, not an RV spot.

Thank you!

Thank you, everyone, for your help! I did end up finding a week down south of Naples using a "buy one night, get one free" discount I found online. The resort looks AMAZING, and will allow us to tour the southern tip of Florida.....which we have not done as of yet. Again, thank you!!
