RV Recommendation for Gatlinburg/Sevierville

As a frequent visitor to Gatlinburg/Sevierville, I can honestly recommend two parks I've used. The Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg KOA is very nice and located between Sevierville and Gatlinburg. Might be a little tight for a 5th wheel. My favorite, and I'm headed there in a couple of weeks, is River Plantation in Sevierville. It'll either come up as Sun Resorts or River Plantation in your search. Very roomy sites and not too far off I-40 if that makes any difference for you. There's no shortage of things to and see in the area so get out and enjoy.

Have a safe and fun trip.

Pick one on the trolley route and ride to Pigeon Forge and back as well. For free and no parking hassles. Gatlinburg is terrible for parking.

We recently stayed at Dumplin Valley Farm RV Park, 525 E Dumplin Valley Rd, Kodak, TN 37764. It is on I-40 about 25 miles from Gatlinburg. It was a pretty neat place.
Thanks,

You asked for "better" and "affordable" in Gatlinburg. Good luck!

https://www.campgroundreviews.com/search/park

Some are recommending Anchor Downs.... $60-$70 if you think that's affordable.

We liked Douglas Headwater Campground in Sevierville. We had Site #57 which was large, grassy and view of the lake out the front window and dam in the rear. Many sites are waterfront. It is a TVA campground and honors the Senior Pass. It costs us $15/night in 2017. There is a dump station on the way out. Maybe a bit off the beaten track but that’s what we like.

Better, affordable & Gatlinburg all in the same sentence. WOW!

How about simple,. Affordable and not far from Gatlinburg? That pretty much describes Dumplin Valley close to the Gatlinburg exit.

Almost half the price of some of the others mentioned.
