Jack Daniels Distillery Tenn.

Plan on going over to Lynchburg TN next week to visit the J D Distillery. Is there rv motor coach parking available ?

Has anyone stayed at any of the local rv parks near Lynchburg ?

Thanks for any info

Chuck

We were at the distillery in 2013 and it's a fabulous experience. We parked our 37' 5th wheel in the parking lot without any problems. There is no RV parking so you just find a spot long enough to fit you in. As for the RV parks - there are none to speak of in Lynchburg.

We were considering going to JD. Closest decent park we came up with was Manchester Koa.

Just did the bourbon trail up in Lexington an Louisville. Had a great time.

Tims Ford State Park is close to JD. It's a nice park, but not sure what their camping facilities are like.

Pulled into their lot with a 32' Class C in March. There was plenty of room and I wouldn't hesitate to bring my 38' Class A next time. The distillery is awesome and the drive into their is almost as cool.

We never looked for a park because we were in the area for a Wild vs Predators hockey game in Nashville. Believe it or not the parking lot next to Bridgestone Arena let us park there all weekend for $30 per night! Boondocking in a 32' Class C with 7 people is what made us finally pull the trigger and buy our Outlaw.

And we took a shot with Jack! -

You shouldn't have a problem finding a place to park.

Here we are with Jack.

And the Kentucky Bourbon trail is one of our favorites also...

At out buddy Jim's... again, no parking problems.

We go to Nashville frequently so we get to stop a lot. Maker's Mark Distillery is next on the agenda.

We thought the Maker's Mark tour was great, really knowledgeable guide and also extremely funny. They also have a great tasting room. I enjoyed the tour of the barrel making plant in Lebanon just as much as the distillery's.

Before we left I called First Baptist Church in Nashville because they own the parking lot. I explained that we were road tripping from Minnesota and they told us it wouldn't be a problem at all. When I got there they had signs up at all the pay stations that say "No RV Parking" so I called the guy I had spoke with and he said not to worry about it, that he would let his lot attendants know we were okay.
