Last year we stayed at Bull Run Regional Park about a week before they opened their Christmas Light Show. One night we were fortunate to return for the day when they were testing the lights. We would have ridden our bikes through the entire display but it was too blinking cold.

We are discussing a trip down to Charleston in the near future. I'm thinking about delaying the trip until November to perhaps catch a similar light test.

Anyone one visit before or during the show? If we go during the show, does it affect getting in and out of the park? How crowded is the park during the show if we go after it starts?

We were there years ago and were quit impressed with both the park and the show. I would plan dinner at the camper because of the popularity of the show. Things might have change of the years.

We were there last year in December visiting friends at Folly Beach. We were told to either get back by 5:00 pm or after 9:00 pm. There were still plenty of folks light peeping but not lined up to the entrance. And we were not there on the weekend.
