Kentucky Welcome Center I75 NB
Has anyone here stopped overnight at Kentucky Welcome Center I 75 NB? I an heading home from Florida the and will be in that area about 7 Aptil and need a night stopover. I don't normally stay overnight at rest areas because they are normally overfull and was wondering if anyone has any first hand experience at this one.

Which one? There's more than 1 rest area NB 75.
I've overnighted at both the NB & SB rest areas closest to the OH state line (that's the 71/75 rest area). Plenty of room. They both have downward slopes on the edges, so if you want to be more level, look for spots near the crowns of the parking lots.

I would think there’s only ONE Kentucky Welcome Center NB I-75….not a rest area.

I know, but their post also called it a rest area when they stated they've never overnighted in a rest area. The welcome center is a rest area. Semantics, maybe. Although, now that I think on it, the rest area farther up NB would not be a "welcome center". My apologies.

Just did a lookup re: overnight parking at KY Rest areas. Apparently, overnight parking is permitted in interstate rest areas, but with a 4-hour maximum stay within a 24-hour period. I guess it's just a matter if anyone is really checking. The truck parking area itself is not all that big at that Welcome Center.

I probably did not phrase my question properly. What I want to know is how busy is it? I have found that a lot of rest areas are always full so there is no room to park.

Stop at Renfro Valley at Mt Vernon Ky. They have a nice campground right of I75. Nice quiet place to stop.

Good to know, thanks! How was the noise level at those rest areas overnight? Thinking about stopping there but wondering if it's a quiet enough spot to get some decent sleep.

What time are you going to be there? Any rest area will be full at 8PM. Earlier gives you a better chance at finding a spot.

Any welcome center is busy. Not just from semi traffic, but from car traffic with folks stopping in for a bathroom break & to pick up brochures on attractions in the state. When I knew I was going to overnight in any rest area, I got there no later than 5PM.

I can say that this rest stop is busy. Allot of truck traffic. I have seen the semis sitting on the on/off ramps in the early morning hours getting some down time.
We were heading home to north of Columbus, Ohio from Pigeon Forge and went to stop. Well, we couldn't stop there as the parking lot was full. We tow a
45-foot 5th wheel rig.

Thank, that is exactly the kind of input I was looking for. I will not put that on my itinerary as an overnight stop.

That welcome center was torn down and completely rebuilt about 4-5 years ago. The parking for semis and RVs is deceptively big in my opinion. There's a truck weigh station and rest haven about 40 miles north near London, KY. There's a Love's travel stop in Corbin exit 29, and a Buc-ees further north at exit 83 if you're looking to Wal-dock.
There's a brand new campground in London exit 41; The Farm. I don't know exactly how far you intend to drive that day, Kentucky Horse Park is very easy access on and off I-75 at exit 120; that would be almost exactly half way between Pigeon Forge and Columbus. There are actually 2 parks at Renfro Valley, a KOA, and Music Valley they will be around exit 62. These tend to be heavily used on weekends, you're traveling on a Monday and may be much less so.
