Amusement Park is Great!!!! Campground is OK, nothing special. Have stayed there quite a bit, since it is right next door and there shuttle takes you to the park entrance. Allows you to easily go back and forth from the Park to your RV through out the day if needed.
I first went to that park in '87 and my last visit was about 6 years ago. It's run by the same outfit that runs King's Island near Cincinnati (which I first went to about 45 years ago). I think they are great parks. So many memories there. Moreso than Disney for me.
We have been there several times when we went to NASCAR races in Richmond. It's a OK campground, clean. But note: Bring a water pressure regulator and play it BEFORE the hose going to your RV. The water pressure is extremely high..
Stayed at Kinds Dominion last month for one night. It has been totally re-done since we were thee a few years ago. Good hookups but pull thru sites are extremely tight!! Paid $64. It was convenient for our escape from NY to put on water and check systems.
