La Hacienda RV Resort north Austin, Texas maintenance policies
We stayed for the first time at La Hacienda RV Resort near Austin, Texas this past weekend when visiting family in the area.
I understand from the full-time folks living there that this park was a famous Mom & Pop run resort that was acquired by Sun Resorts but still the best in the area.
At $75 per night, the sites, communal areas and even the massive dog park certainly merit the higher than average prices. Every site looked well maintained though gravel with grassy areas and curbs.
That is why we were surprised to be jolted out of bed by someone using a leaf-blower next to our trailer at 7:00 AM Sunday morning. To add insult to injury, the woman working in the office wasn’t surprised when I told her how unnerving it was to be awoken by loud gas operated leaf blower. As if this wasn’t the first time she heard the complaint she replied, “we need to maintain around the pool areas and walkways.” Well, what about the fact they rented the sites next to that walkway?
In any event, my request they consider waiting on Sundays until people are awake was apparently not welcome and fell on deaf ears.
It is a shame a park with such incredible infrastructure like real stone retaining walls, large older oak trees and well constructed buildings and pools would treat guests this way. Has anyone else felt unwelcome at this park or been treated to their 7:00 AM Sunday morning leaf-blowing?
