Laguna La Maria, Colimaa

Volcan Colima was busy erupting the last few weeks so we drove to Laguna la Maria at 4500' and about 10 km from the 12,600' peak. The eruptions have greatly decreased and as a local noted "tranquillo"

Laguna la Maria is a popular eco-tourism spot for folks from Guadalajara and Colima. The area is fairly lush and the cost per night was less than $10 for water and line power. We used neither. We hope to return
