Lake front camping

Looking for a lake front campground for next summer where we can bring a 24 foot boat Will camp for several weeks. Prefer AZ, CA, NV, CO etc

Next summer--most of the desert lakes [eg, Havasu/Colorado River] in the SW are pretty darn hot to camp near in the dead of summer. Maybe some of the mountain lakes in AZ--eg, the Salt River Canyon, Lake Roosevelt, etc......

Minnesota (Land of 10,000 lakes) actually has 11,842 lakes of at least 10 Acres in size. Tons of camping ranging from FHU at Grand Marais Municipal CG on Lake Superior to Forest Service CG on smaller lakes up north Mille Lacs is a favorite among anglers. Many CG on either side of the Mississippi in the RedWing area.

Havasu Landing & Resort, 50 amps full hooks right on the lake.
We camp here with our 23 ft boat during the summer, it's a dry heat😉

You have many options but as noted all are HOT! That's why we go often with our boat and dogs. There are tons of options. Depending on when in summer, what you're looking for, adults or family, cruising, watersports, nightlife or solitude, etc...
From canyon Lake in Az to Lake Powell in Utah, there are tons of options as you follow the Colorado river. BTW, you didn't mention Utah, but you should consider Lake Powell. Here are only a few major areas: Lake Powell, Lake Mead, Lake Mojave, Lake Havasu, Parker strip. Then multiple areas along the river with CG's as well. You have alot of research time, so google is your friend. PM me if I can help any further. No matter what, you will have a good time and maybe we'll see ya out there?
