We are leaving Sunday 24 heading to lake havasu area . We asking for sites to go see Williams . Kingman . Route 66 Sedona flagstaff quartzite then we will be heading back towards Phoenix Tucson . As you can tell we up for any suggestions for places to go and the history around these areas . Havasu falls we heard was closed until next year . So Tks for any help .

Plenty to see in all of those areas, could take up to a month. Getting cold in Flag and Williams. Maybe be more specific on what your interests / capabilities are. Boondocking or hookups? Havasu falls is a 10 mile hike one way with reservations required at lest 1 year in advance, yes it is closed but this confuses me on what you are looking for. I would never spend time in Quartsite.

I live in LHC (Lake Havasu City) and make that trip often. A really cool place to see along that route is Grand Canyon Caverns...... the largest dry underground caverns in the USA (Carlsbad Caverns is a wet cavern). It's a very cool place and well worth the stop.

There is a lot of RV parking and it's a great 2-3 hour stop along the way to LHC.... one of the most RV friendly stops along the way

Avoid , Route 66 from Kingman to Oatman / Golden Shores , the road is not RV friendly.

We were looking at any stops that had scenery , history , and we will need a campground to stay at in lake havasu city ,

We have not done any boodocking yet, we could at the prices these so called resorts are charging we will

For Havasu, I'd highly recommend the state parks. We like Cattail Cove.

You need to do some Googling for the towns you want to visit. Flagstaff has some Indian ruins which are very interesting. Flagstaff and Williams - look up Rte 66 to see what's left to see.

Sedona -a VERY busy place nowadays and commercialized. Plan to hike to get away from the crowds. Stay in nearby Cottonwood at Dead Horse Ranch State Park. Do a non-RV drive to Jerome for lunch. Interesting place. There are some Indian ruins around the area. Take the train ride for a day trip out of Cottonwood if it's running. From Flagstaff area don't take 89A with your RV into Sedona... steep and twisty. Take I-17.

Havasu:
Crazy Horse Campground - Some waterfront spots
Islander - Some waterfront spots, this is the nices and most expensive
Campbell Cove - Nice with full hook-ups

State Parks
Windsor State Park - Hook-ups in city
Cat Tail Cove - South of city with hook-ups

Boondocking
Craggy Wash - BLM, north of town and it is getting kinda trashy
Standard Wash - South of town, much better IMO

Oatman is a good stop if its not to far out of the way. Nice little mining town with daily gun shooting entertainment and wild donkeys

Cattail Cove State Park, south of Lake Havasu City, is small but decent, and we like Buckskin Mountain State Park just a few miles south of there even better. Both have good hiking trails. Cattail Cove sites do not have sewer hookups, however, and only 15 of them at Buckskin Mountain do. They both have power and water.

Route 66 between Seligman and Kingman is a decent (but lonely) road if you want some 40s and 50s nostalgia, but do not take the rig to Oatman, as previously mentioned. I second that Oatman is a good day trip in the toad.

Pirates Cove Resort, near Needles, is a really nice place to stay, but only if you get a spot on the "peninsula" (expensive) that has sites right on the Colorado River. It's a 1/2 mile or more of gravel road to get to the peninsula from the entrance, but worth it. More funky than fancy, but gorgeous river views. Good restaurant and bar there too, but not sure of their status during COVID. Desert View RV Park in Needles is another decent park we frequent when we're passing through, but more of a nice overnight stop rather than a destination.
