Lake Tahoe Ca
Any suggestions on a RV resort in the Lake Tahoe area? We are planning a trip for this September?

I have no personal experience with anything in that part of the country (yet), but I was just wondering if you're aware of free web based tools like RV Parky and Campground Review. You can quickly locate EVERY campground in any locations in North America using RV Parky to find them and their proximity to whatever you're interested in. Then look up each RV park (CGs) using Campground Review to find out what other folks thought about that particular CG as well as amenities, etc. Good Luck and I'm sure you will find just what you are looking for. It's out there.

Whichever park you choose in South Lake Tahoe, book it as far in advance as possible. Also Lake Tahoe is a big area. You should specify North Lake Tahoe vs South Lake Tahoe. SLT is where all the nightlife and casinos are. The north is much quieter and basically shuts down after about 9pm.

September at Lake Tahoe is perfect!! The crowds are mostly gone and the weather is usually fantastic.
It would be helpful to know what kind of rig you have. Size can be a problem.
Zephyr campground is a very nice park on the East side of the lake. It’s about 20 minutes up hwy 50 from Carson City, and about 15 minutes to So.Lake Tahoe, where the casinos are, and about 35 minutes to Emerald Bay, a must see !
There are quite a few campgrounds in the area but most have length restrictions that prohibit big rigs.
Safe travels !

Couple summers ago we went into S Lake Tahoe on Labor Day without reservations. Got into our first choice, SLT city park...CG by the Lake, BUT it was on Monday, not Friday. Fortunately the working folks are pretty much limited to the weekends so it’s much easier finding sites late Sunday or Monday.
