Lake Tokaway, NC

Headed to south west NC for the weekend. Rain is headed out and cool weather is in the air. Pretty mountain leaves, good friends, and some hiking. Fire and wine is on my agenda later tonight. I will be toasting all you other campers tonight. Enjoy!

Sounds like a great plan. We won't have a fire tonight, but will toast you with a glass of wine from the Raleigh area. Enjoy, and let us know about the campground you stay at. We love the mountains and are always looking for a new spot.

We are staying at the Blue Ridge Motorcoach Resort and should be arriving in the next several hours. Are you from this area? If so maybe you could give me some suggestions on other places we can visit. This is our first coach and our 4th trip so far. We are headed to the Urbanna Oyster festive in a few weeks as our last trip until spring.

Take care

Brenda. Lake Toxaway is a high dollar Class A only area. No fifth wheels or pull trailers.
Vera and I stayed there last year for 3 nights and it was very nice.
We won a three night stay at the W.H. Raley in Bakersfield last year.

No, we are much further east and where we camped was further west of Lake Toxaway. Sounds like a beautiful area. Hopefully some of the people of western NC can help you out.

Bigthee, didn't mean to highjack your thread. I would love to hear about that area and your weekend.

What a wonderful weekend, a 6 hour drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Estate, winery an then to finish it off Whitewater Falls.... Pictures coming. If you haven't been to Asheville, NC it is a must.

We will return for sure.
