Lazy Days campground Tampa

We are planning a trip to Tampa in Feburary. We wanted to go to the Hard Rock casino. They do not have a campground so the suggested Lazy Days. They said is about a $10.00 cab ride from the casino. Does anyone have any info on Lazy Days campground?

I just wanted to know if it is a nice campground and if is only a $10.00 cab ride to Hard Rock. When you go to the Lazy Days site the talk about complimentry breakfast and lunch. Is it really free. How much in advance would you recomend I make a reservation if I want to come in late Feburary?

The lunch and breakfast is free. Small portion for some , but free. There is a free shuttle to the main building where it's served. I don 't view it as a CG that I would normally camp in. With that said , I've been here three weeks and will be here for another one. I come here for events. New Years Eve , the Tampa Super Show and the Fleetwood Rally. The sites are sufficient , grass surrounding asphalt pads and a picnic table. Heated screened in pool and hot tub etc. I suggest you call them re availability and Taxi services.

Hi dabrooks,
The CG is neat, clean and orderly. If mobility is not a problem, consider the Cracker Barrel restaurant. It is on the property and about the same distance as the free breakfast/lunch. I have tried the free food. For me, I now pas on the free food. There is also a restaurant inside the CG (quite nice, regular food and menu). Contact them to determine when they serve meals.

I'm with Gary. I pass on the free food. It's not much.

The campground is nice and clean.

Thank you for the comments. It sounds like it fits the bill for what I am looking for on this trip. We thought it would also be the perfect place to look at some newer model class A's. Thanks again.

I was there back in Oct, Campgound is very clean, and neat. Hard Rock was about 6 miles away I think I gave the cab driver a 10 and he gave me his cell number when I wanted to go back so I gave him a 5 on top of it, Free food is what it is. Over all I had a good stay and would stay again.

We stayed at the campground for 4 days in December, site 299. The sites are flat with plenty of room between them. We have been there several times in the past and will be going for the Monaco Gathering in February. They do have a heated pool and hot tub. They also have dog runs if you have dogs.

If you are looking at one of their "Crown Club" coaches (the big bucks ones) your salesperson can take you to the Crown Club for a really nice free meal. We purchased our 2010 Diplomat from Diane Holston at Lazy Days last month. She worked hard for us to find the right unit at the right price. If you are looking to purchase, contact Diane and tell her the Corsetti's said hi.

The food at Exit 10 restaurant in the CG is good but I think they are closed on Sunday and Monday (?). At the RV Sales facility they offer breakfast and lunch off a small menu for a reasonable price. Cracker Barrell is also on site and there is a Bob Evans across the main road. Taxi service into Tampa is good.

Stayed at LD last week. CG is neat and tidy. Free shuttle around grounds and to nearby Cracker Barrel. Guests receive vouchers for free breakfasts and lunches. Hardrock is a straight shot west on I-4 about 6 miles. I would recommend it.

You don't have to eat there , I hardly do but I have never found this at any other CG in 82,000 miles of traveling.
