We've stayed there twice enroute to Key West. If you're going to be there, take advantage of the deal they offer to tour the safari park. It's worth it, IMO.
There is also a FL state park in the area, Jonathon Dickinson. It gets good reviews.
Hi demag88,
I live about 5 miles from this CG. It is an easy in and out from the Turnpike. Straight road and about 8 miles. Level sites, mostly gravel. Hear the lions roar in the morning when they feel it is time to eat.

The majority of the sites at LCS KOA have 30 amp service and dirt/grass sites. Jonathan Dickinson SP has 50A service and concrete sites. It could be tough getting a reservation at either CG this time of year.
