Locations close to birmingham al

I decided to take a four day trip to celebrate my wife's bday with a little mini vacation. We are in Birmingham and would like your help on suggestions. We would like to not drive more than 3-4 hours. Definitely would like waterfront lots with full h/u 50A. Won't be taking a toad so amenities and entertainment/dining on site or really close also appreciated.

Google CG's on Smith lake. Stayed at one (can't remember the name) a couple years ago. Reasonable and a beautiful view.

There are several nice state campgrounds in north Georgia, like Cloudland Canyon. That park is about 120 miles away. Also Fort Mountain which is about 200 miles from Birmingham. I don't think they have full hookups but 4 days shouldn't be a problem with decent size holding tanks but not having a toad is going to limit you.

Another nice CG is in Guntersville, right on the lake. Can't remember the name of the CG, but they do have a nice liquor store in Arab Al..

Guntersville State Park. Nice looking public campground. Has full HU and is located on the lake. There is a very nice resort above the cog round that has some excellent dining. We stayed at an RV Resort just to the east of there on the lake last spring. Nice place but I can't remember the name of the place. I remember having to DIY through the sales pitch to get the free weekend.

Tannehill Historical State Park between B'ham and Tuscaloosa, AL. Beautiful camp ground, lots of creeks, hills, history.
