Longmont, CO Campgrounds

We're in Mesa, AZ and was planning to head to Longmont, CO for a 13 day visit with our daughter. We have reservations at St. Vrain State Park, but got a notification that all Colorado State parks are closed. I can't find another CG in that area without driving another 45 minutes away. Why aren't there CGs in northern CO? Anybody know of anyplace open in that area?

I believe there's a fairgrounds in the area. Good luck!

Rv park

The name of the park is Boulder CountyFairgrounds Rv park and it is right in Longmont, Co
The phone number is 303-682-6762; You just pull in pick a site and pay the next time the office is open. Its not fancy but is adequate.
May not be open now due to restrictions.
Good luck

The issue right now is the lock down in Colorado - so you will need to call - Boulder County Fairgrounds is easy right in Boulder with a Wal*Mart across the street - If they are closed Lyons has a City CG that might be open you could call and Check.

LaVern M. Johnson Park | Lyons, CO

Best of Luck,

This is not the time to travel. Stay home or if in an RV finds someplace near you and don't plan on traveling for the next 6 weeks or more.

You will be protecting yourselves as well as the ones you are visiting.

rv park

The longmont park is in Longmont and not Boulder. It is a county park and not a Boulder city park

Thank You - my bad - Boulder County Park is in Longmont. CORRECT!

Think the issue is likely to be the fact that the State is in Lockdown not sure there is anyplace open.

Best of Luck,

Don't know if you made the trip but we have done both St Vrain SP & the Longmont Fairgrounds multiple times.

The fairgrounds is better than your average fairground CG in that it is fairly heavily treed & basically right in town.

St Vrain has 2 personalities. The cheap side, power & water only IMO is the best side. Again lots of trees. The expensive side, the newer loops, have FHU & are wide open. Highway noise more than likely will be an issue especially in FHU loops.

The best advice is to stay home and don't chance spreading CV-19.
