Hanging out for the next few weeks at Pere Marquete State Park near Grafton Illinois. Right at/near the convergence of the Illinois and the Mississippi rivers! Lots to see river traffic wise, good fishing, lots of nature! (Eagles, Hawks, Deer, all kinds of critters) plus a fantastic drive up the river road...

Come up too Minnesota where it starts and take hwy 61 home lots of places too stay. We just got back from South Eastern Mn. We took 61 and followed the Mississippi from St.Paul Park to just past Winona. Took 6 hours. Wanted too keep going but we had a reservation @ a Private CG. 32 year old MH and it wasn't the oldest there (no 10 year rule or they didn't enforce it..) Had a blast We could have spent a week going that distance there is so much to see. A Lock and Dam would be a good stop. Come on up.!!!

Ditto for Tom Sawyer campground! Just beautiful - loads of river traffic. It does flood during storms - thus the showers and bathroom on wheels!
