Looking for a good spot!

Hey folks, Wife and I are heading to tx in about a week and from the sites i've seen around league city, there are not very many and some of them are pretty shady,(not very good reviews). Can anyone who has been to this area send some suggestions. I know that shade trees are few and far between but going to be there for about a week and that ole sun gets hot!
Thanks for any help.
BTW: Going to be traveling through alabama and wondered. Is it best to go straight through Birmingham or take I-459?

There is a new RV park at Hwy 3 and 96 in League City/Dickenson. Willow Lake Resort is the name. Very nice place. We looked at it but chose Advanced RV Resort at Hwy 288 and Beltway 8 in Pearlanf. Great park and only a 15 minute drive to Medical Center.
