looking for a nice overnight park near Mesa in May

Early May. In laws live there and we just need one night. Near N. Greenfield rd and E. Main st. but can travel a few miles for a nicer park. The ones I have seen on rvparkreveiws seemed either real small or more mobile home parks geared to monthly stays.

Any ideas? My wife is "only" 54 so not sure if the 55+ parks are that strict.

Hi Keymastr; Hello from Western Washington! My brother used to live in Kennewick In the 80's an 90's, my how it has grown. To your question, Mesa is full of RV Resorts, Parks, etc. If you are just looking for an overnight stay with your travel trailer, some have an area set aside from the rest of the park for just overnighters or just staying for a couple of days. I use the RV Park Reviews all the time but they might not contain the info you are looking for. A lot of them are situated for longer stays. You might need to research some that are close to your in laws and give them a call and see if they are equipped to handle overnighters. Been through many in Masa but never stayed at one in our motorhome. Hope this info gives you a start in what you are looking for. Happy New Year!

you won't have a problem getting a spot in May. we stay there every spring. you can check-in as long as one of you is 55 and that may not matter in their off season. East Main between Lindsay & Val Vista (entrance is on north side of Main just east of Lindsay.

Stay at either Usery Regional Park (Maricopa County) or Lost Dutchman State Park. Both have electric and you'll need it in May for AC. They have very large beautiful sites with fantastic scenery - not Park Model trailers next to you. We volunteered at Lost Dutchman but have also stayed at Usery. Either of them highly recommend.

Thanks for the tips. Mesa spirit can't be beat for convenience, basically 1/2 a mile from destination. My heart is saying Lost Dutchman State park. I guess I have a couple months to figure it out. Excellent tips, thank you very much. I always get great advice here.

Lost Dutchman in May would be absolutely awesome. Been there in February a few times and the volunteers in each bay are the best. Especially the lady in the overflow up the 'hill'

Yeah, it probably would be an extra hour of driving but it might be worth it!

Well, I decided that Lost Dutchman was too great to pass up. And since the next day is a short 2 hour drive we will have most of the day to explore. Not nearly enough I know but should be much better than the in-town options. Quieter and cheaper too.
