Looking for a Stop and Go Spot between Mobile, AL and Pensacola, FL

We will be heading to Orlando for a weeklong stay in a few months. I am trying to plan out our stops. I am looking for a place to stop for the night somewhere between Mobile, AL and Pensacola, FL.

We will be in a 37' Class A (no toad for this trip). Just looking for a place of the night.

Thanks for any advice

On the east side of Pensacola, near Milton, is a park called Avalon Landing. We have stayed there 3-4 times and it is nice.

Why stop for only a night? It's a gorgeous area.

Stay at Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores, AL

Why overnight only? Limited time and we are heading to Disneyworld.

Five Flags RV Park isn't too bad to stay at. In between Al/P'cola, close to I-10 and a Cracker Barrel for breakfast. (CB may even have overnight parking) I stayed at Five Flags when I made my trip down here to reside, now live in Milton.

Just a slight detour off of I-10 near the USS Alabama memorial park is Maher State Park. Great place to suspend a little time. Clean and not expensive. All the utilities work well and the view from the west side looking across Mobile Bay at sunset is stunning. Close to Spanish Fort and Daphne.

Just a little beyond Pensacola is Navarre Beach. We spent a week here in April and it’s a great place.

What type discount memberships do you have?

At Exit 53

PA, FMCA, GS - discounts at Hilltop RV
RPI, PA, C2C - discounts at Wilderness RV
GS - discounts at Azalea Acres RV
C2C, AOR - discounts at Styx River Resort

All within a mile of I-10 and the exit

There are also a couple of others at that Exit.

Can't give you any actual advice/ experience with any of those. I usually stay west of Mobile along US-98 with relatives, or at NAS Pensacola.

X2 on that!!!
I stayed there the first week of April for just 2 nights, while we toured battleship park. WOW what an adventure for the grand kids!!!

It's not exactly in your target zone, but there is a spot we always overnite at about 70 miles east of Mobile.

Less than $30/nite, w/full hook ups.
No office, just pick a spot and drop your check in the honor box.

It's definitely not a destination spot, but it's relatively clean, safe and quite, easy on/off the interstate.

Flea Market & RV Park at Menge

BTW - Don't know how often you travel east, but plan your trip to hit Baton Rouge between 10 am - 2pm.
I-10 is the only highway, making rush hour traffic the worst in the country.
